1.Museum of Survivors Launch

10 May 2025

Commemorate 80 years since the end of World War 2 and when the ring with “Whoever saves one life, saves the world entire” to Oskar Schindler in the place of memory where this occurred.

The public and political event includes politicians (regional and national ministers), survivors, family members from all continents and the family of Thomas Keneally with original materials in terms of testimonies, film, music and theatre with seminars and debates on the issues.  The Museum of Survivors opens and receives international media coverage with over 100 articles in Europe, America, Israel and India.


2.Film Adaptation and its dilemmas

23 May 2025

The event launches teaching on Film Adaptation and its dilemmas – our place based and digital testimony curriculum activity with film, testimony and historical sources in site where the events of Schindler’s List occurred.

The activity for school children and visiting schools uses materials from Thomas Keneally to teach film interpretation based on Schinlndlers List and our school curriculum. Training on the digital materials which can be completed in classrooms are also provided.

3.Survivors - seminar on book Survivors

9 May 2025

The event presents new materials by Thomas Keneally and filming of testimony with him.  Due to health issues his daughter and nephew travelled, and he was connected by videoconference.

The Keneally family will attend with the original scrolls on which Schindler’s Ark was first written, which were transported and will be installed in the Museum of Survivors. A seminar is then completed on the new stories that have emerged on survivors and on the key scenes in the film which occurred in Brnenec.

4.Gender workshop on Emilie Schindler

6 - 7 June 2025

The aim is to make a gender workshop on Emilie Schindler and translate a new book on Emilie and Oskar Schindler by Erika Rosenberg.  Erika Rosenberg travelles from Argentina and brings a German school from Dessau to visit Schindler’s Ark for the workshop.

The focus is on the role of Emilie Schindler and her key role in Schindler’s List and to discuss gender based issues.

5.Teacher Ambassador training

12 - 13 September 2025

Teacher training of ambassador network of teachers on place-based learning, curriculum and gender and anti-discrimination perspectives.

It is a preparation of Teacher Ambassador network and materials (Zachor BEN). Communication and identification of teachers in the relevant countries. Explanation and appointment to their role, including incentives for their work. Negotiation with them for teaching of the curriculum and how it fits into their teaching context.

6.Student Ambassador training(online)

16 September 2025

The objective is to train and implement student ambassador network in up to 10 countries on place-based learning, curriculum and with sensitization on gender and anti-discrimination perspectives. The activity also includes and introduction of the curriculum and all the digital and place-based materials.

7. Community Theatre "Our Factory" event

30 August 2025

Implementation of community theatre event on Schindler’s Ark, preparation of the sites in the factory for the theatre, research and development, and organisation for place-based theatre. The Brnenec Theater developed a theater play on the history of the factory which uses different places in the village and various historic events to give a whole story of the factory and people who worked and lived in the village.

8. Making Jewish Heritage - Textile Activity

8 September 2025

Working on preparation of textile materials based on Otti Berger, research into their textiles and role, one who survived and one who did not. A of place-based exhibition will be developed with materials and preparation of text and testimonies for the textile activity. Weaving or knitting of materials, design and preparation of matchbox looms for participants. 

9. History of Europe through a factory

26 September 2025

The testimony activity on the History of Europe through a factory from 1848 to present and to give the history of the factory from 1854 to present day. We will install the materials “Before the War” in the Museum following the timeline from 1854 to the birth of Czechoslovakia, the Second World War, Communism, the Velvet Revolution to the present-day context of the ruins.

10. Jewish Resistance - Bau family

3 - 4 October 2025

Visitors are invited to an intimate and engaging program dedicated to the lives of Josef and Rebecca Bau, combining film, newly recorded family testimonies, and a site-specific installation. Through curated materials, artwork, and printed textiles, the experience reveals forms of resistance rooted in creativity, humor, and courage, while uncovering the Bau family’s remarkable story—including new insights into their roles before, during, and after the war.

11. Starting at Zero Art Exhibition Event

13 - 14 October 2025

The Starting at Zero Art Exhibition Event presents the lives and work of Jewish women artists who shaped the 20th century, including Otti Berger, Anni Albers, Lucie Rie, and Lilly Reich. Through an exhibition of their art, testimonies, educational materials, and discussions, the event explores creativity, survival, and resilience, highlighting how these women influenced our world while addressing themes of discrimination and antisemitism through art.

12. Travelling Exhibition Starting at Zero to schools

28 - 29 November 2025

The Travelling Exhibition Starting at Zero brings the stories of survivors who shaped our world directly into schools, combining a portable exhibition with testimony-based teaching. Through translated, visually engaging materials and linked educational activities, the program connects art, memory, and local history, offering students a powerful learning experience rooted in the theme “If you save a life, you save the world entire.”
